M&G Chemicals plans to increase the capacity of its Corpus Christi facility

Corpus Christi: the largest PET plant in the world.
M&G Chemicals is planning the world’s largest PTA/PET plant in Corpus Christi, TX, a vertically integrated PTA/PET plant with an expected nominal capacity of 1,100 kMT/year for the PET plant and 1,300 kMT/year for the PTA plant. In January 2016 the project has been upgraded in order to increase both nominal and actual expected production by over 100kMT. All necessary State and Federal permits for the added capacity have been completed. Project Jumbo will start operations at the end of Q1 2017 instead of Q4 2016. We've encountered minor delays in some operations due to the fact that we're building the largest PET vertically integrated single line in the world and the largest PTA plant in the Americas. The scheme of project Jumbo has not been affected in any way.

M&G Chemicals is a part of the Mossi Ghisolfi Group that was established in 1953 in Italy and is among the world’s three largest producers of PET or packing applications.
